Just got my ONKYO HT-S680S!

I just got the system, and hooked it all up. I use this system with a 27" TV with a built in DVD player in the bedroom. I connected the TV/DVD player using optical cable. I am also using the speaker wires that came with the system. Since this is connected to one unit does it really make sense to connect the video cable out from the TV to the receiver and back again? The only thing connected now is the optical, and the 6.1 speakers. Also would upgrading to monster cables really improve the system if I plan to use the stock speakers?

Also I see numerous threads created asking which system to buy. I would suggest the ONKYO HT-S680S, realatively inexpensive (around $360), I have watched a few movies and the sound is great.

IMHO leave it connected as is and don't bother with upgrading the cables and enjoy!
