Anyone farmiliar with the Sony STR-DA7100ES/B - AV receiver??

My buddy just purchased this for his home video setup last month and now needs to sell it for emergency cash. Does anybody know anything about the quality of this reciever? I looked online and found basically nothing, no reviews or anything. He said he paid 1100.00 for it and would sell it to me for 500. Given that its only a month old and hes discounting it by quite a bit I am tempted. I did however just buy a decent reciever not even 3 months ago so it might not be worth it. Anyways any information that anyone might have with this model would be appreciated.

Wow, excellent deal. I actually have the STR-DA1000ES recevier and I love it. Stylish, and performs rather well for what I use it for.

Do you have the black or Silver model? mine is the black one and I am kinda bummed it wasnt silver. I looked on crutchfield.com and they have a picture of the silver one and its honestly the best looking reciever I have laid my eyes on. Very cool. If yours is silver your stylin. It is a great reciever tho with alot more options then I have even been used to. Its taken me like a week to get through the manual.
