speaker wire colour coding problem

Hi, I bought some speaker wire whihc has clear insulation and one wire is copper coloured while the other looks silver. Which one is positive and which one is negative. thx

It doesn't matter as long as it is the same on both ends

That is unusal. Is it bi-wire cable by any chance (2 wires on one end, 4 on the other?)

I've had some like that before. As Brian said, it doesn't matter, as long as it is the same on both ends.

No, it's the cheap stuff that comes with systems, most likely. I see this stuff all the time. Somebody must think it is cool to just make the actual wire a color instead of the insulation.
