Audio Drop Out???

Hello everyone! Recently, my DVDs audio has dropped while watching them to either silence or very soft. I was wondering if this is a problem with the TV or the DVD player? It's not the discs as they play fine on other set-ups throughout my house. Anyone have any input? Thank you in advance for your help

Check your cables to see if they are still tight

Cables are fine, I'm pretty sure it was the player. When I hook up a different player to the same TV, there is no audio drop out

How is the DVD player connected? Since you mention it is connected to the tv, I assume you are using the analog L/R outputs? Most DVD players have two sets of audio outputs - maybe try the second set?

I tried the second output and same result. I guess it's the player but thank you both for your time and input!

Maybe you should check for dynamic range compression. Since it is only on one TV, maybe your TV has such a setting. Or maybe there is another audio setting in that TV that got messed up.
