Sell me on dual layer dvd recording
Whats the difference with recording in 4 hr speed(the newer units record in that speed and it has 2 hr recording lines of resolution) on a Panasonic DVD recorder or another brand that has dual layer recording capacity.

It's just like recording on a vcr. The fastest speed always gave the best quality audio and video. With double layer discs, you can still record at the faster speeds, and get more on the discs.
My stand alone recorder doesn't burn DL discs, but the computer burner does. I like DL discs much better, but the cost is still a bit much. They are half the price they were, a year ago, but still not cheap enough. Once they get to the price that I can afford, they'll be the only discs I'll buy.
