Screen turns blue, then nothing
I turned on my Sony RP CRT WS model (from 2001, can't remember the #), and i get a bluish picture, then it fades into a flat blue picture, then the picture goes black. There are darker blue convex bands at the top and bottom of the screen. I've tried turning it off, checking the different inputs, etc. and it still happems. did a gun blow or something?

Is your cable, or satellite receiver on to coincide with the TV monitor? and if so, then maybe another video source button from your universal remote such as: DVD, VCR, etc has been obliviously pushed to operate without power on from that particular unit.
