Do all players and surround sound set-ups play it? Take tonight and a viewing of the Snatch Superbit as an example. Dolby Digital worked fine, but I get silence with DTS. Reason?

Most DVD player can pass DTS audio via optical/coaxial connection, but not every speakers/amplifier/receiver can decode DTS code. So you need to have amplifier/receiver with DTS capability.

Most dvd players come from the factory, with DTS turned off, because most people don't have surround sound. Go into your dvd player's setup menus, and the audio output needs to be set to bitstream or raw, whichever term your player uses. Your's may just say: DTS on or off.............. Then you need to manually choose the DTS track, in the movie's menus. It's either in the "Audio Setup" menu, or the "Languages" menu.
Good luck!
