some basic Q's on getting a new 5.1 dvd player
I currently have a very poor dvd player I got with a cheap 5.1 set up. The set was 80 bucks at Sav On and got me through a year, but I'm ready for a better player.
I have a Gift card and some coupons for Best Buy, so I plan to buy a new dvd player sometime next week.
Having never bought a good dvd player before, what brands would you reccomend I stay away from and which ones would be good? I would really not like to spend more than $150 for a player, but I have a good HD television so I really want good quality.
Also, I'm looking to buy a really nice 5.1 setup. I would like to get both the dvd player and the speakers next week, but I'm a bit strapped for cash.
Is it a smarter move to buy the dvd player and 5.1 setup together in a set or just buy the speakers themselves? Will most good dvd players out there be set up for 5.1 or will I have to buy a seperate reciever?
And lastly, whats a good 5.1 speaker system around $300 or under?
Thanks for any advice

sounds like a great deal but im a little skeptical of any *refurbished product, I know some people get them and never have any problems, however with my luck I wouldn't chance it.
