D-Box Motion Chair: what a blast
Went into my local Tweeter at lunch to pick up a pair of wall brackets for my surround speakers, and the sales guy gave me a 10-minute demo on the D-Box t Integrated Motion Simulation Seating system.
Basically it's a recliner that moves, vibrates and shimmies to the action onscreen, via a system that has specifically loaded movements for specific movies. The demo had the 'death chase' from Bourne Supremacy, and it was a friggin' hoot. I could 'feel' the gears changing when a character upshifted, and a real sense of movement on a side-impact crash.
Of course, the system is $13,000 - so it's not exactly in my price range - but still....

Hmmm... interesting. Not quite as complicated, I find it fun to add a bass shaker to my chair.

I watched some stuff in the Monster room at Bjorn's and they have a force feedback couch. Pretty crazy when combined with the giant dual subwoofers they also had.
