DTS audio cuts in & out

Tried just about everything. I have a Philips FR975 Digital Surround Sound Receiver. Its has DTS. My new Samsung DVD Player DVD-HD841 has DTS. On movies Dolby 5.1 plays with no problems. When I play the movies on DTS the audio cuts out now & then. Enough to ruin the experience so I go back to the Dolby. I have Definitve Loudspeakers with the built in subwoofers. I have tried every combination of setting with the DVD Player & the Receiver with no sucess. Currently I'm using a tosslink optic connection between the DVD player and the receiver. I running the bitstream setting on the DVD player and have tried all the other setting with the DVD audio setup. I can tell I'm likely lossing the signal entirely for just a second at a time because the display on the recevier goes out & then right back on during the cut out.
Any suggestions???

DVD Audio Problems

Me Again, I posted an earlier thread about my dts audio on my DVD player going in & out but this doen't happen on the DVD player Dolby 5.1 setting. The other thing I seem to always experience is in the movie previews before the actual movie. Audio is constantly in & out. Same thing sometimes for the extra features portion. Does not happen with the T.V. stereo speakers, only the stero receiver. Is this common because the DVD disk audio is different on the movie previews? Just thought I would mention this along with my other thread because this could be something common to both audio problems. Does anyone else experience this problem with movie previews??
Thanks in advance for any advice on this problem.

If this is a new player, I would try exchanging it. That sounds like a fault in the player, esp if your last player did not have the problem.

Certain players have had problems with certain discs, what discs have you tried?
