Sharp LC-45GD7U or Sony Bravia KDL-V40XBR1?

Which one should I get and why? Looking to view DVDs, play Xbox 360, and watch SD and HD cable TV via Time Warner Cable with best picture quality and black levels. Aside from the difference in screen size, price (Sharp $4000 and Sony $3500), and Sharp's 1080p capability, has anyone had experience with these sets?

Thanks!

I haven't seen the Sharp, but we have a Bravia in the lobby at my office and it's gorgeous.

A good friend of mine has the bravia, and the pic quality on non hd sources is not the best. Granted, the HD picture is awesome. We were watching a DVD on it and the black areas on the screen looked very grainy. Maybe just some calibration issues, I don't know...but the Super Bowl looked AWESOME on it!!!! I'm used to my XBR910 and most TV pictures look grainy compared to it!!!
