DLP TV high pitch noise
I have a samsung DLP TV that I love, but it has this crazy highpitched noise thats driving me crazy.
I assume its the wheel spinning somehow - do all DLPs have this? how noticable is it normally? I can clearly hear it all the time.
Its out of warranty, so if something could be adjusted i'd prob have to pay for it - but if its not too bad I may do that.

Well it could be a color wheel or a capacitor or a power suppy or a fan.
Perhaps try doing a search for your model tv and see if there is any report of the problem or try Samsung's website.

Does the high-pitched noise continue for a bit after the TV has been turned off? If it does, then it's probably the fan, which runs for a short time to cool the bulb down.
