Is this a good television?

Let me start off by saying that right now I am playing games, watching movies/television on an RCA 20" TruFlat non-HDTV. And I think it has run its course.

So, could anyone tell me if this television is worth $497:

Thanks in advance.

I'm a big fan of monitor/tube HDTV. I have a 34" Toshiba HDTV and love it. My brother picked up one last week for only $997 at Best Buy. I don't know if that Sanyo is a high quality set or not, but based on the specs, it certainly sounds like a nice price.

I also have a 34HF81 Toshiba 34" in my bedroom, (it may be an older model than yours) and I agree, it's a good set. When I moved it upstairs to my bedroom, after I purchased a 50" for the living room, I had no idea it weigh 163 lbs, but it felt like it weighed a ton because I had the set delivered, and placed when purchased. I had to get two other relatives of mine (literally) to help me move it...They are heavy!

The smallest of my HDTV's is a 34" Sony with the super fine pitch tube. It's the best PQ I own and would not trade it in for the world. Tubes rule....even though it is a 200 pounder!
