To be honest, unless its a sale, closeout, or similar deal (and this is not) you'll get what you pay for.

I haven't used it, but I agree with kayak99. I purchased a Toshiba portable dvd player for $180 or so a couple of months ago. I played with all of them at best buy, and the cheaper ones had awful picture quality and looked pretty flimsy. If this is something you want to enjoy, I'd spend another 75 bucks or so and get a decent unit.

A friend of mine has one, and while it works for what it is, the case feels really flimsy. The plastic casing is really thin. Better to spend more money for a real brand name.

How often do you plan on using it? If you'll only be using it infrequently, or in relatively "stable" environment like a hotel room, it's worth it... especially at the lower Black Friday price.

If you plan on using it daily during a commute or in a "mobile" situation where it might get dinged or jostled, then you might want to spring for a higher quality unit.
