Best way to sell big screen TV?

I've got a projection TV that I'd like to sell, but it's a 50" Toshiba Projection screen, and it's not so easy to pack up and ship. I've sold an old 50" projection TV on ebay before, but it was a pain in the a$$ to ship. I had to box it up, drive it to a FedEx warehouse, and have them ship it. I'd rather not go through that again. Have any of you had luck selling a big screen TV? Any suggestions?

Local. You're in NY, plenty of people close by, I presume. Videogon and Home Theater Forum might be good alternatives to Ebay.

Put an add in the newspaper for the local university with a cheap price saying "you pick up". A bunch of frat boys in a pick-up will move the thing out of your house and into the truck. They give you the money and you go buy your new TV.

If it's not worth much, another way to move it might be to consider donating it to a good charity. That's what I did when I made the move from big screen to projector.

Thanks, I may do this soon....if I ever decide to upgrade. I had a pain trying to move this thing when I moved out....55" Mits is not easy to move.

I want a new TV, but I'm resisting....must resist.
