Do I need a progressive TV to see progressive Dvds?

Hi everyone,
I have a progressive DVD player and am going to create a Progressive DVD using Premiere Pro. However, I am wondering if I need to get a progressive TV in order to view the DVD?

Thanks for any clarifications.

You'll need a TV capable of accepting a progressive signal in order to have your player pass it a progressive signal. If your TV doesn't accept progressive you'll have to set your player to interlaced. You will be able to see the DVD though.

BTW, DVD stores images in interlaced form. It's just a matter of whether the player converts it to progressive (generally preferred since it's still in the digital domain at that time) or your display device does.

To followup on what X said...you need an HDTV (or EDTV).

To followup on what DVD Josh said...only if you want to use a progressive input signal, which is unnecessary if you set your player to interlaced or non-progressive.
