Using DVI for HD cable Box, and it says "not supported"
Hey all,
My grandma's 46inch Samsung DLP is currently hooked up via component. Last night i tried to hook the cable box up with the DVI cable, and when connected, it said "not supported". With comcast HD boxes, is there a setting that i have to toggle to tell the box to use DVI instead of component (which is what it's set at now)?
Thanks,
Matt

Yes there is. Turn your TV ON but your cable box OFF. Then press MENU on the cable box remote. You'll see a service menu. Change from there.
You may also find that her box is not showing 1080i (or 720p) and you can also change it from there.
