Delay when audio goes through Receiver
Hey all,
My grandma just set a new home theater up (as you may know). Now, when i pipe the audio into the back of the DLP TV -- it works fine. However, if i connect the audio through the receiver, there is a split second delay in the sound, and it's not in sync with the picture anymore. This happens with RCA cables as well as optical (it's actually worse with optical). The audio feed is coming from the HD comcast cable box... Any suggs? I don't see any delay options or anything like that that may be turned on -- and the delay is from the front speakers (even in 2.0 mode). Thanks again.. Thanks, Matt |
Please list the brand and model number of your TV, DVD player, Receiver, etc. and I will commence to researching.

Ok, thanks for helping... Note -- the delay is only when watching CABLE through the receiver (optical AND RCA cables do this)
TV: Samsung 46 inch DLP - Model: HLP4663WX-XAA DVD Player: DVD-HD841 Receiver: STR-K660P Thanks! Matt |
Looking around it appears to be a common problem with your Samsung DLP TV set:
http://www.digitalhomecanada.com/for...ad.php?t=20508 http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/2/115627.html It appears there is a problem with the length of time the Samsungs need to process different types of video signal. There are some mentions that relief can be had by tweaking settings in the TV's service menu or having a specific circuit board replaced. Is the TV still under warranty? If so, call Samsung. :( You can continue researching by googling the phrase samsung sound sync. Good luck! |
