Im looking for some help with home theatre
 

Hey, Im looking for my first surround system set. Im still in high school, so there is a budget. I was looking at this one and was wondering if the this would be sufficent for a first timer. Thanks!

Setting aside the long discussion for the moment, there's no possible way to get more sound and features for less money than this if they still have any.

There's even a rebate on the shipping.

Well, somebody in Canada must sell the Onkyo.

Anyway, I haven't heard the JVC, so I can't comment on it. Sound quality matters more than anything, and you can't judge sound quality through a web page, so get out there and listen to some systems. Other recent therads in this forum discuss what to listen and look for in HT systems.
