DVD recorder no longer has signal

I have a DVD recorder that seems to have crapped out.

It no longer recognizes the cable signal, or any external units, such as VCR or DVD player. The cable is routed through it, and the television still gets a signal, but the recorder does not recognize it. It will not accept any channels when scanning them, and will not show a signal from any of the extensions in the back. Is it done for? It is relatively new...I am pissed.

Any advice?
