UHF remote extenders and tvs with headphones.....
I am looking for a remote deal that will allow me to change the channel of on my Directv receiver from a different room. Any ideas? Also, I need a smalish TV (less than 27", and could be down to 19") with headphone jacks. I don't seem to see these around. I don't want an LCD, or anything. Just a decent tube tv.

Seriously though I would head down to the local walmart I'm sure they have several models of small TV's with headphone jacks.
For the remote you can buy a remote extender at radio shack for about $40 that takes IR signals sends via UHF to another station which translates back to IR. They used to make a one for all remote that had UHF integrated with a seperate base station but I dont think they do anymore.

Thanks. The world is about to end when there is a spongebob TV
That second one looks like it might be the way to go. I don't have any VHS tapes that I know of, but the dvd player would cut down on clutter. That and I always use a cheapo in the bedroom that lasts for only about a year.
