Toshiba SD4900 - problem with DVD-R?

DVD-/+R's played on my Toshiba SD4900 tend to pause/stutter ever so slightly every 30 seconds or so. Regular DVDs play perfectly. The same DVD-/+Rs play fine on another model Toshiba I have.

Do those of you that own this machine, have you noticed anything similar?

Thanks!

Have you tried using your code knock on it?

I am sorry, but I'm not sure what you mean by "code knock". Are you referring to the process that I used to make this region free? If so, yes, then I made this region free using instructions in the "international talk" forum.

Thanks.

No, I was referring to the secret knock detective Paul Drake useds on Perry Mason's back office door to let Perry and Della know it's him.

I guess that wasn't much help.

I have a 4900 and play tons of -R, and some +R and have had NO issues...

:) Well that code knock HAS come in handy many times, but no dice here. I'll let Perry, Della, and Hamilton know that they have fans over at DVDTALK.

Chrisedge - thanks for your input. It sounds like I need to take this in to be looked at.
