DVD player zoom for non-anamorphic

Can anyone recommend a good dvd player that can zoom a non-anamorphic title to fit a widescreen tv correctly.

I currently use zoom player on my htpc over DVI but sometimes its annoying to use the HTPC and was wondering if a good set top player is out there that can take care of this. It would also be nice if the said player could correctly zoom a non-anamorphic SVCD.

Can't you use one of the widescreen TV's stretch modes to do this? I know on my Mits the Expand mode is made for doing this so I would think other brands have a stretch mode that is comparable.

yes the tv has the zoom mode but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as what the htpc can do. Also I have to set my dvd player up a certain way to give me black bars on the side. It usually will try to strech a non-anamorphic dvd and I end up with fat black bars and a streached picture.

I have not looked at a dvd player for a few years b/c I was very happy with my htpc over dvi and what it could do as far as upscaling, non-anamorphic zooming and handling forign content. I just wanted to know if a player has come out since then that can do these things.
