Projectors and Screens

I'm currently tossing around the idea of selling my 56" Samsung DLP TV to get a screen and a projector. What are some good affordable brands that I should investigate further?

TIA!

Check some of these out:

Not sure what your price range is, but if I were buying right now I would be looking very close at the Sony HT51 and the Panasonic AE700. The HT51 isn't on the list in the link, but their review is an outlier. Generally, it seems to be regarded as being a standard-setter.

For screens, Dalite is generally considered the best value for your money, but the specific screen and size depends on your projector. Also, don't let the screen slow you down. Projectors look fantastic even showing on a plain white wall (which is what I am using until my kids are old enough to know how to treat it).

You will love what a FP can do. Not only will the size of the picture be bigger, it will look better. And you can get a quality FP for very little money. Many seem to like the 4805 for DVD's, and the price was just reduced to $1299.

I use a wall for a screen right now, and it looks good. I am planning on making my own screen. Check out the avs forums. That is the place to get information about FP's.
