Comcast HD Receiver + DVI better than component

I posted a question on the forum a few months ago, the question was which connection would look better in HD from the Comcast receiver box.

The answer is the DVI connection!

All the HD channels look better and now all the other channels are better because the DVI connection outputs a signal that is formatted for a widescreen TV and the it is a better signal/cable.

Using the DVI connection also freed up one of my Component connections for my son's new XBox's "HD" connection.

I hope this will help other that a thinking about going to the DVI connection on the Comcast Box.

A component cable will send a signal that is formated for widescreen TV as well. The jury's still out as to which one is better. Many times it depends on the type of display and what kind of component is sending the signal so there is no clear cut answer.
