What type of connection will HD-DVD Players use?

I wanted to know what type of connection will HD-DVD players have? Thanks.

Since there aren't any true HD-DVD players, it might be a bit difficult to guess.

I would assume something like DVI.

Is there a chance it'll be a new type of connection besides component, dvi, or hdmi? Because if it is, wouldn't it be pointless to buy a new TV and wait until they announce what type of connection it'll be?

Even if there were a new connection, I wouldn't doubt there would be options out there in the way of a cable conversion. We already have HDMI to DVI, for example.

I think we're at the point where there's always going to be options and I'm not going to be concerned about "what if's".

But, that's just me. :)

Not HD-DVD, but the Momitsu DVD-V880 upconverts standard DVD, and has a DVI output:
