that looks nice.. i would probably go with some kind of material around the body. It would make it look more proffesional.

I have a black stretchy fabric that i just got to sew...they call it the "sock"..you paint the tube black anyway so you can't see through the fabric

Very impressive work! How much were materials? Is that an HTD tower? How does it match up with the speakers?

namrfumot 09-16-04 06:46 PM

Yes focker those are the HTD level 3's...(about 3 years old now).

they sound fine together, but in fact i only plug in the sub for action movies...it's almost overkill with all the bass the towers put out 9I also have tacile transducers i use occasionaly)

sub - $125
amp - $118
MDF - $40 (i wasted alot making test cuts to get it just perfect. i literally had to hammer in the end caps to make a tight seal)
polyfill - $5
epoxy - $4
grill - $8
sonotube - $75 (had to buy a 12' piece!)
port tube - $free - had it already

Hi...cool sub...where did you get that great component rack? That's exactly what I need for my set-up!

Big Worms 09-17-04 09:18 AM

Nice job! That rack is a DIY flexy rack, if I am correct.

namrfumot 09-17-04 12:55 PM

worms is correct..the toughest part was finding the 6' 3/4" rods...most places only carry like 3'. i had to go to a contractors place.

Big Worms 09-17-04 08:28 PM

Both came out really nice!
