Need to sell my TV, what kind of value does it have?

61" Hitatchi Ultravision (I forget the model number). It is pretty top of the line (auto line convergence, etc.), and is a 2001 model, iirc.

What is something like this worth today in trying to get rid of it?

Didn't find any similar on Ebay, so that don't help none.

Is it HDTV ready? If so, it's probably worth around 1/2 to 2/3 of what you paid, whatever that is. If not, it's probably worth 1/3 to 1/2. It's really gonna depend on finding someone who will pay what it's worth, assuming you're selling it locally.

I'd look through random newspaper classifieds (online of course) to get a general sense of what people ask for this type and age of TV. But asking price doesn't indicate selling price.

Off the top of your head, how much are you thinking of asking? Easier for us to just say "too high", "too low," "just right," etc. if you throw a number out there. And definitely tell us how much you paid and any other useful specs.

im seeing a huge range of them made in '01. there were several models (7 of them to be exact), in the 61" size. they range from the $5,999 (new) to the $2,799 model. these range used from $1,671 to $713 respectively. if you get me the model, i can tell you exactly what blue book value is, assuming mint condition of course.

I will look up the model. It is not hdtv ready. I was figuring $750.
