Regular ole busted TV question
I have a 27" SONY, about 10 years old. I was watching it when it went off with a slight hiss and won't come back on.
Is it usually cheaper to get them fixed, or to just buy a new one? Sorry if this has a thread, but wasn't sure what to search under. "Televisions That Break" didn't do it! Thanks! |
Buy a new one.

Bri is right on. Your tv, for all purposes, is dead. Your tube went. That's practically as much as the tv itself. There is a SLIGHT possibility it was a transistor or fuse, but it isn't worth it to determine it.
Invest in a new 27" HD Panny and enjoy the ride ($500) |
Also in agreement with everyone else. Toss it and get a new one. With the price of TVs today, you can't lose.
