Bought a new portable DVD player last night . . .
I bought a Samsung DVD-L300 portable player last night, and I got it home and was .... drumroll please .... NOT DISAPPOINTED !!!
This thing will play ANYTHING I throw in it ... DVDs, CDs, DVD-Rs [even real old/cheap ones], JPEGS, Kodak Pic CDs, MP3s, CD-R/RWs....
The only thing it won't play is a "Region 0" Judas Priest Live DVD (it's not a bootleg, it was manufactured R0). But as soon as I pick up a 'universal remote' and tweak the region code on the player, it'll play that too, I'm pretty sure. I hafta use a universal remote because the remote that came with the player doesn't have numbers on it.
Besides, I'll need the universal to access certain easter eggs (ala Terminator 2).

...I know, I thought it was kinda hinky too. No numbers, but it is on the remote for a DVD player, hence, theoretically, you might not need numbers...
...'less ya wanna region hack it....or watch the above-mentioned type of easter eggs...or find a (very) specific point in time on the DVD, I guess.
