I want to see pictures/websites of INSANE DVD/home theatre setups

Can someone please post pictures or links of really really awesome DVD collections, and paticularly really high end (50,000$+) home theatre setups?

thank you kindly

Holy Shit that is one neat looking HT. Even if I had the money for something like that I'd have to think long and hard about doing something that big. It is damn neat looking.

Not too far off the mark. He also has links to his Ferrarri Collection from his homepage.

First buy a house, then the home theater room. Oh, the wait is agony!

IMHO, that Steve Jenkins display is nothing more than an excuse for him to show off to everyone how much money he has, and remind you how much you don't have. And to further drive this point home, he posts pics on the internet for everyone to drool over. Jealous? No. If I had the money, I would buy decent equipment and fix up a nice room to watch movies in, but I would absolutely not have a setup like that. It's overkill, it's gaudy, and it's just another rich guy rubbing it in our faces.

And he can shove his Ferraris, too.

The fatbulldog one is much closer to what I would do if I had the money. It's simple and sleek, and allows you to focus on the movies, rather than the gaudy look of the first one. I do appreciate that the jenkins theater is sort of an homage to the grand theater houses of the past, but it just looks too over the top.

Honestly, I think Steve Jenkins setup is really cheesy and gaudy. I prefer the fatbulldog one.

Steve Jenkins = Fan of old movie palaces. Great work!

FatBulldog = Bored IT prefessional with free time on the weekends. Looks like a morgue.

I agree that Steve Jenkins' one looks pretty cool in a sense of a replica from an old theater, but looks like a ridiculous display of bad taste in a house . The Fatbulldog one is awesome though

It must be good to be rich! I can't find the Ferrari links, only home theatre related links.

Here are the rest of his links. I love his HT setup. Exactly what I would like to have in a few years, hopefully not too far in the distant future.

I have to agree with ya. Even if I was rich I'd still be a cheap bastard :P I just need so much space and shit for myself. I can spend allot more on crap then I do now but I try and contral myself. I've been using the same Sound System for 3 years now and see no reason to upgrade. The next big thing I will buy and it's like 4 years off is a Big Screen Wide screen TV. OH well more power to him I don't care WTF he does to feed his ego.

I myself was born a rich A$$Hole I'm just still working on the rich part.

One thing I hate about some HT's and don't get is why the hell do they have rows of seats? To me that is so forking dumb. I just need 2 nice chairs one for me and one for my wife. I like the bulldog one but he also wasted allot of money. Why put bass speaker's on each seat?

PS. That fat bulldog is pretty cool.

Maybe he likes to entertain guests. Maybe he has kids. I wouldn't assume that just because you would only need a seat for you and your wife that the rest of the world has the same arrangement.

That's pretty amazing, but personally I don't see the need to recreate an actual theater in your house. I'd prefer just to have comfortable seats (something most theater seats aren't) and a nice screen. I wouldn't make a "concession stand" or "marquee" even if I had the money.

My theater definitely doesnt fall into the "INSANE theatre setup" category, at least by some peoples standards. But for me, just average workin joe, it is "most" everything I dreamed. I wanted a theater than was more than just a media room, something with alittle commercial feel, but not gaudily flashy like some of the palaces out there. This is what I built:
