Hanging speakers on the wall?

What do you guys use to hang your surround speakers on the wall? I don't want to use nails since this puts holes in the walls. I have tried using that sticky putty stuff, but that tears the paint off the wall. Is there something that I can use that won't hurt the wall?

If you don't want to put holes on the wall, I think you should use a speaker stand instead. Or may be put it on a shelf or something.

One word: spackle.

Spackle is a homeowner's (or renter's) best friend. Put the nail (or even better, screw into wall stud), enjoy and spackle and sand when you're done.

If your speakers have any weight to them you will need to attach them to the wall. Better to do it right than to have a speaker rip off the wall and get damaged.

Nah. Use double-sided tape!!!

You would need heavy speakers to make these come out.
I've done a chine-up off of two (175lb.).

Also, if you ever move, you can just screw the base of the above anchor in a bit more, then cover with spackle and paint.

I love those things! I'll never use the traditional hangers ever again after trying these. WAY more substantial than the regular "hook with a nail" hanger.

I think I'll go buy some more! :)
