Need help with Digital Coaxial cables...

I am trying to figure out if I have this type of cord already:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=14965

Does this type of cable have any specific color? Markings? I'd rather not buy this if I might already have it, but I doubt it do. Anyways..

Any help would......help.

Thanks!!

no it doesn't have a specific color..as long as it is a coax cable and fits into your coax out and in of your player and reciever you should be fine. i think mine is orange and made by monster.

Another question...

My RCA reciever has a S/PDIF port, but it is for CD apparently. I need it for my SAT (satellite).

Does CD stand for anything else? I guess I could just use my CD setting to run my Satellite audio, but that kinda sucks.

=(

Unless you can reassign your digital inputs, you will probably have to use the CD setting (which could cause a problem is you are running video switching through the receiver also).

I just use a regular RCA cable for the S/PDIF connection from my cable box to receiver. It's digital signal anyway, not much difference between cheap and expensive cables. My 2c.

A digital coax cable is the same as any yellow composite video cable. Hence, the two are interchangeable, and I'll bet you have a spare yellow video cable kicking around.

Correct. Just make sure it's the yellow cable you use. The red & white "audio" cables in a traditional 3-cable set have a lower impedance rating. The yellow cable is 75 ohms and is exactly the same as any expensive "digital coaxial" cable.
