Hey, Quick Question.

Hi all.
This seems to be a very popular forum so hopefully I will get my answer :)

Ok I have quite a big collection of DVD's and I was wondering if it safe to watch them when I'm going to sleep? which means it will be running all night most of it on the main menu.

is it harm full to the player or disc?

Thanks a lot for any replys.

Shane.

I would be more concerned about harm to the tv if it is plasma or crt. If your set has a sleep timer I would be sure to use that.

My Toshiba will go to a screensaver after several minutes of inactivity, then will just stop transmiting altogether. My TV will then shut itself off after a few more minutes. You may have those options if they don't do it automatically.

heh, well my tv has been on non-stop for years :D

What NikePenguin and Jim was trying to say is that if you have a plasma tv or rear projection CRT, it is not wise to leave static images showing on the TV because of "burn-in." If you don't have the above type TVs then you should be fine.

In that case, just go to sleep. Just try to use the sleep timer ont he set so that you do not run up your electric bill. :)
