That is by far the most amazing HT I have ever seen. Well, doesn't quite beat the Star Wars HT... but comes damn close.

You must have gotten this photos from either AVS Forum, where there is a nice thread going on it started by the owner.

The front projector is a JVC QX1, a $225,000 D-ILA (LCOS) with QXGA (2048x1536) resolution and 7000 ANSI lumens! I'm just drooling over this projector, which I will own once I win the lottery. Here's a link: http://pro.jvc.com/prof/Attributes/f...&feature_id=01. I don't recall the scaler used (Snell & Wilcox?), but it's super-expensive also.

Super bright! Not much worry over ambient light with this thing. Mounting could be a problem - it weighs something like 200 lbs.

No cash register at the concession stand? So much for authenticity.

What's ridiculous about it? I think it's very elegent, obviously the owner must be extremely wealthy to have an home theater of this caliber.

What about the snotty teenager that tells you "You can get the larger size for only another 25 cents!"

I bet the sound system is amazing! Visually, the theater is very elegant, but I just don't think I would feel "comfortable" in there. Seems to lack the coziness and intimate feel of most home theaters. Still though, a truly amazing room.

I can't imagine how much that cost. 200K just for the projector.

All you need is cash. Until I win the lottery, my HT will look an aweful lot like a familyroom

You know what I would say if I woke up and was in that theater?

The same thing Kevin Costners Dad said in field of dreams: "Is this heaven? "

Ironically, I don't think I would enjoy watching a movie there in the slightest.

That same HT was on the Fine Living Channel tonight with some other "sick" Home theatres. Amazingly enough, I think they were just wealthy buisness men, not athletes or rappers or anything like that. One guy was building his house like a church cathedral to try and create the ultimate Home theatre, and he seemed like some regular guy.

Might be my memory but I think that HT was in A/V Interiors about 7-8 years ago.

I bet it doesn't have the sticky floors of a real movie theatre either.
