Need help in playing back DVD continuously

I have a DVD I want to play and then repeat, preferably with a set point and end point and then have it loop. I intend on showing the DVD "Rendezvous" at the Los Angeles Auto Show in my booth and I don't want to hit PLAY over and OVER for 11 days.

Can this be done? Can it be done on my Portable Panasonic player? Can I do it on my Dell Laptop?

Thanks!

I don't know about a portable panasonic DVD player, but most of the dvd players i've seen can do it.

You just would have to set the start point at the beginning of the movie and the end point at the end. (then set to repeat).

I know in our showroom's, we do that with our dvd's.

Now as far as playing dvd's on a pc. My version of Intervideo WinDVD has a function that also does repeat.

All of my regular Panasonic players have an A->B loop playback. The simple solution would be to set the A point at a 00:00:01 and the B point at a second or two before the end. You would possibly have to reset it each morning, but otherwise it should be foolproof.

Randy:

It's easy to do this. Once you have the DVD playing then do the following:

Press the DISPLAY button twice. You can then use the little joystick selector to move right (twice) to the repeat function. You can choose: Chapter Repeat or Title Repeat.

If you want to do AB Repeat then use the little joystick selector to move right (once) to the AB repeat function. Press the joystick in the center (Enter) to set A and press once again to set B.

To exit after doing one of the above, just press the DISPLAY button two more times.

If you do a lot of this sort of thing, consider an industrial player. I build displays that require DVD's to be playing 7/24/365 and a consumer grade player tends to overheat and quit.

Here's what we use:

Pioneer DVD-7400

It's tough as nails and about the size of a shoebox.
