Using a computer LCD
 

What is the difference between using a 19 inch computer display LCD and a 19 inch LCD/Plasma TV? If I set my computer up with a video in card [to transfer an SVideo and Composite signal to the PC monitor], and have it all hooked up to my stereo receiver/surround sound, will it be just as good as having one of the more expensive LCD/Plasma screens?

Pretty much the same and more versatile.

Maybe not as convenient depending on your computer skills and physical environment.
