I just grabbed a Pioneer Elite VSX-99. It's old but it's still sweet!
For about the cost of an AC3 demodulator. It matches my DVL-91 & sure sounds fine!
(...well, to me at least, and that's all that matters to "me" anyway!)
Yes I know, no DTS.
(...and without getting into a big & hairy "DTS vs. DD" debate, I've now got a total of 4 Home Theater systems (3 with DTS) but I have to say that with my ol' 99, I don't miss it in the least...)
I did a whole lotta searches, but came up with very, very little.
There's presently one (as of this date) on eBay...but with no description.
Do you have any knowledge about this amp/receiver?
Any personal experience out there concerning this one?
Thanks Everybody!

It's a nice unit. I had a VSX-D1S and sold it a while back to get my Denon 5700. The Pioneer worked flawlessly with my Laserdisc player (top of the line Pioneer--without the rosewood finish). It's a great way to add some power to your system, as well as a hell of a lot of video and audio inputs.
