DVD Disk Not Compatible Error Message
 

Hi there -

I have an Onkyo 5 disk DVD player that has difficulty reading DVDs. It often will not be able to read the disk, regardless of which tray position it is in, and say that there is a disk error. However, after maybe 6 times or so, the disk will play properly. The unit has no problem playing CDs at all. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem may be? This problem is not limited to a specific DVD.

Try to get a DVD lens cleaner. And check the disc whether there's scratches or dust on them.
