DTS deconder in DVD player

Well I just bought a Panasonic DVD-F85 which has a built in DTS decoder. My receiver only decodes DD. Now when I play the DTS track on the disc it plays but its much quieter than the Dolby track. So low that I can't listen to it. Is there any way I can remedy this so that the tracks will be of equal volume?

You have the 5.1 analog channels of your Panasonic hooked into your receiver's 5.1 analog in?

Both the player and the receiver need to have DTS capability.

Edited - The Panasonic DVD-F85 does have already-decoded analog outputs so as long as the receiver can take those channels as input the receiver doesn't need DTS.

Yes it does. See those 6 jacks under the Audio Out section? That'd be them.

Of course, the question remains whether sureAV421 is using them.

You're right!

I don't know what I was looking at when I thought they weren't there. I could have sworn I only saw 2 sets of L & R!

Then it won't work because you said your receiver doesn't have DTS decoding.

You have to let the player decode the DTS and pass its analog signals to your receiver if your receiver has those inputs.
