Is there such thing: PC Monitor / TV set ???

Due to a limited space, I'd like to have only one monitor to be used as a PC Monitor and a TV set. The TV signal would not be going through the PC, so I guess the desired setup is like this

PC: straight from desktop to monitor
TV: wall - cable box - monitor (via audio/video or audio/svideo)

Is there such a product on the market??? If so, what's a price range (for a 17 to 21 inch, full screen capability)

Thanks in advance

Best Buy has a few of these ranging from $600-$2000. I guess they're basically high-def computer monitors with speakers and built-in TV tuners.

Also a company called Cornea has them. Amazon carries them.

And GVision

Thanks guys, that's what I was looking for.

I assume that as PC monitors they must support at least 1024x768, which would make them a decent TV set. Does anyone own one of those. How is the audio/video quality???

I've used them at work off and on. As TV's they're not so hot and usually suffer from overscan problems. For a PC monitor they are decent if you are sitting far enough away from them. Too close and text is an unreadable blur. There are various makers out there, do a web search for 'multimedia monitor' and you'll find quite a few.

maybe you should get a TV tuner card for your pc?

Princeton Graffics used to make tube sets like that. I remember reading about a 36 incher they had. It was like 3k. Like matome was saying, you can get a lcd at best buy that will do both. They have a audiovox on sale for $449 after rebate for a 15 in. I think alot of plasma's also have a vga in. dont know the computer quality, though.

Costco used to carry an Envision 17" LCD monitor with a built-in TV tuner.
