DVD Shelves
I recently bought a DVD holder from Sharper Image which only holds 40 DVDs, but as my collection is growing I need something bigger. Anyone know any places that I can buy a DVD storage unit to store all my dvds rather than making it from scratch?

A lot of people swear by the rack from Boltz. They are really pleasing to look at and remind me of something one would find at Sharper Image.
For a large collection I think handmade is the only way to fly. Its cheap, can be made to match your decor and can be customized for your space requirements.
Heres mine that I made (its actually in 3 pieces for ease of moving). Its almost like part of the house.

I'm having some built with a formica laminate that matches my coffee table and such...it's actually similar to what boston george has there, 3 seperate pieces so that it can fit into a corner and such too...and it will be easy to move. The pricing has actually worked out to about what the Sauder Multimedia Shelves run at say Media Play or Best Buy ($50) each too, which isn't too bad. Hopefully, with the design I'm coming up with, I should have room for like 300 per case, which should be more than enough for me in the next 2 years or so...

I have Sauder brand hardwood, not *veneer* cabinets originally intended to house Vhs. I use one for out of Region 1 DVDs. Lockable with swinging doors capacity of all 6, would 2000 plus or minus, because snap cases are thinner than the 'keep' case. Height 43.5 inches, 22 inches wide, and 13 inches deep.
I had factory rep come in and assemble them, I am disabled and couldn't put them together. I hope this helps for lower to the ground use, than the high storage units, displayed in picture of 3 side by side.
