DVD Player DIED!! Need advice on a new one!!
Hello, my sony ns700p died today. I would like to find a cheaper (150or under) player at best buy, circuit city, or one of those stores. Can anyone tell me some players that they would recommend.
Btw My tv is a sony KV-27FS200 so its not High Def..thought that would be helpful. Thanks for the advise.

get the panasonic dvds-35K. its very nice. its selling most places for under $100 right now. its progressive scan, but its interlaced video is quite impressive.
spend the extra $50 on nice cables, and an extended warranty, to make sure it lasts!

If you're happy with Sony, the 715P player is around $150. These and the toshiba models are usually recommended right behind the Pannys. I picked one up a few weeks back from BB on sale and with 10% coupon for ~120.
Panasonic is usually recommended for better pic quality and the 35K is a great deal for a prog scan player. They don't have coax dig audio so be prepared to buy another cable if you're not already using optical dig audio.

Compusa is having a good deal on the Panasonic dvd-cv52 5 disc changer for $80 after rebate. It's a non-progscan and it works well, for me. It's the ability to play WMA format that I really like about it. Good luck on your search.
