Is this a good deal?
I've been shopping around for a system and at one store I was offered this set up. My budget was acutally 2500, for a 32"Tv, 5.1 setup, receiver and DVD player. Here's what I was offered.
1. Toshiba 36HF72: 36"HD tv, without DVI support though.
2. Onkyo TXSR-600 receiver: 6.1 support. 80watt per channel.
3. Totem-Dreamcatcher: L,R,C and Surround only.
4. Velodyne VX-10 subwoofer: The totem one was a little small.
All of this for $3000. The problem is that is over my budget. But the key question is... Is this a steal? Should I get the system?
Thanks
BTW: I haven't heard it yet, I'm going back to listen to it in a couple days.

well, I searched really quick and looks like you can get the tv and receiver for about $2,200.. sub about $170 so if those speakers are worth more than $630... I can't seem to find prices for them, just reviews..

I found some prices for the Totem Dreamcatcher. It seems to retail for around $1600-1700 for the 5.1 setup. Best prices I've seen (some from sketchy online vendors):
Toshiba 36HF72 $1480
Onkyo SR-600 $378
Velodyne VX-10 $167
Total so far: $2025
Dreamcatcher system minus sub: ~$1100.
Overall it seems to be quite a good deal from a B&M. I like the TV and receiver. If you like the sound of the speakers (ask to listen to them paired with the SR-600 and bring your own CD's/DVD's to audition) then I say go for it.
