New VCR suggestions
My VCR (SONY SLV-798) seems to be on its last legs. Any suggestions for a new one.
I'd like to spend between $100-$250
The rest of my set-up is:
Fujitsu Plasma 4203
Yamaha HTR-5490 Reciever
Toshiba 5700 DVD
Dennon DCM-340 CD changer
B&W 602 Front and LCR600 center

I guess it depends on what's important to you. What features are "must haves"?
For consumer level VCR's, higher end JVC's (the 7xxx and 9xxx series) have the best TV tuners. Though you may not notice on most tube based television sets, you'll probably notice on your plasma, and you definitely notice on a high quality front projection set.
Panasonics (ie. PV-VS4820) have pretty good tuners, though not quite as good as the higher end JVC. The commercial skip function is very useful too (I've used mine for over a year now).
If the tuner quality doesn't matter to you, there's Toshiba, Sony, etc.
