Does your TV have a visible orange light in back, or is something wrong with mine?

I just bought a new TV, and as it was on, I looked behind it just to check things out, and through the visibile mesh-type openings into its inside, I see a somewhat bright orange light/LED type thing.

Does this mean my TV is running way too hot (which it isn't, too the touch at least, around the orange light) or is it something normal which for some reason has never shown on any of my other TVs?

Thanks for your help.

Most electronics have some sort of yellow or orange light. I don't know what they are for, but tube TVs just about always have them visible through the vents.

Cool, thanks a lot for your response Wolf Husky.

Assuming it is a CRT type, the tube is a big old fashioned vacuum tube. It has a filament heated to red or orange hot, to act as the source of electrons which are controlled, eventually hit the screen and excite the phosphors to produce the picture. No orange glow = no picture.
