Decent player that plays SVCD?
Does anyone know any players besides apex and sampo that will play SVCD? Im looking for a decent quality player prefferably under 200.00 since it will rarely be used.

Just get the Apex, its cheap and plays svcds very well. I use it only for SVCD's and have a 'real' player for DVDs
If you are rarely even going to use it, why waste more cash on something else. SVCD doesnt look as good as DVD, so it's not like the Apex will do a bad job at displaying it.

I picked up a jvc xv-s300bk at best buy for just over 80.00 and all the disks that I played in it worked great. vcd's, svcd's xvcd's... I burn them all at 24 speed (fastest that my burner will go) and still have not had one disk not play.
Seeing as how you can use this player for dvd's (and have them look good) and the other types of disks that you want to play I would get this player.
