Too bad they went to all that trouble but couldn't be bothered to use an example that was the correct aspect ratio. "The Fifth Element" is a 2.35:1 film, shown modified in that example cropped to 1.78:1.
From the tiny, tiny print at the bottom of the last page: Note: The actual aspect ratio of The Fifth Element is 2.35:1, but for purposes of illustration, it has been zoomed in to approximately a 1.78:1 ratio. |
