Problems with video...can you help?

Im having some problems with the video image movies that are playing on my system. The picture is wonderful on the entire screen excpet when there are very dark scenes I get a green colored line running up and down the screen (about an inch wide) about 1/3 of the way from the right side of the screen.

This only occurs during dark scenes in movies that are being played on my dvd player. I have not noticed any problems when using Direct TV. Do you have any idea what my problem may be?

I use:
Panasonic Tau CT-36HX41 (HDTV)
Integra DPS-5.2 (DVD)
Integra DTR-5.1 (receiver)

Also, whenever using the DTS sound on a movie there will be jumps in the sound...sort of like skipping I guess. Is it my receiver or have a configrued something wrong (this also happend with my old DVD player so I dont think thats the problem)?

Thank you for you help,
Caleb Carlson

You got me. See if anything in here http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...ighlight=green might help. I hate to recommend the competition because this is a superior board, but for technical questions, often www.hometheaterforum.com has some good answers.

Thanks

Thanks...it kinda helped me.

Im not sure if I have the same problem (it sounds like I may) but I dont think I understood what the problem was and what its going to take to fix it.

Im getting an AVIA configuration DVD tomorrow...maybe that will do something?
