RP 62 vs. RP 82

RP 62 vs. RP 82

Can someone tell me if this is any difference in progressive and decoding performance of these 2 players, I am under the impression there is not??

The 82 has the mpeg decoder from the RP-91 and has better picture quality. It also has more features (DVD-A, DD/DTS decoder, etc).

The RP62's decoder comes from the RP56, and so with some material, there's the flicker bug.

actually the RP-62 does not have the flicker bug, as the setting on the FLI2200 which causes the flicker on the '56 is set opposite on the '62. They do however use the same MPEG decoder chip and deinterlacer.
